Ruchi Harnal
I’ve always believed the best memories aren’t made in boardrooms or school pick-up lines. They’re made while wandering winding streets in cities you can’t pronounce, over shared meals in tucked-away cafés, or watching your kids belly-laugh on a beach somewhere glorious.
That belief inspired me to create Harnal Travel.
Travel has always been woven into my life. As a child, I traveled often, not to check destinations off a list, but to feel the energy of a place, to connect, and to learn. That early exposure shaped the way I see the world and how I plan travel today.
By the time I met my husband, I was on my third passport. He didn’t own one. He thought he was signing up for cozy weekends. Instead, he got glacier hikes, just trust me detours, and a whole lot of airport security. What he didn’t see coming was that I’d turn this lifelong love into a full-time business helping families like yours explore the world with intention.
In 2009, everything changed. My husband was told he might not walk again or survive the year. Once he recovered, we made a quiet little pact to stop waiting for someday. We started saying yes to the big trips, the small moments, and everything in between. We haven’t looked back.
Today, the three of us, my husband, our 10-year-old son, and I have explored all seven continents together. From the icy silence of Antarctica (spoiler: penguins are louder than you’d think) to Africa’s wild savannas, ancient temples in Asia, and sun-soaked coastlines in Europe and South America, travel is how we connect, grow, and write our family story.
Before founding Harnal Travel in 2019, I built and sold an interior architecture firm. I loved designing beautiful spaces, but what lit me up more was planning journeys. It started with friends and family, and quickly grew to include clients who became like family. That spark became Harnal Travel.
Now, I help multigenerational families create journeys that are meaningful, personal, and seamless. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, crossing a continent off your list, or carving out quality time in the middle of a busy life, I take care of every detail so you can be fully present.
Giving back is part of our journey too. Many of the trips I design include opportunities to support local communities, conservation efforts, and meaningful cultural exchange. Travel should be beautiful for both the traveler and the places we visit.
If you are ready for a trip that blends luxury with purpose and leaves room for a little magic, let’s get started.

What is your favorite destination you’ve ever been to?
That’s a tough one, I tend to fall in love wherever I land. Antarctica swept me away with her icy silence. Cuba had me wrapped around her finger, especially the colonial charm of Trinidad with its cobblestone streets and pastel facades. Antigua knows how to slow things down just right. Namibia! Wild, bold, and completely unforgettable. And Base Camp at Everest? A high-altitude heartthrob that left me breathless in every way. Let’s just say, I have a thing for places that keep me curious
What is your travel style?
Luxurious but soulful. I love rare finds, rich culture, and comfort without compromise.
Something you must take with you every time you travel:
My portable phone charger and an open mind.
