Ashley Allhands

I’m often the one behind the scenes making sure everything about your trip runs smoothly. If you’ve gotten a reminder to purchase travel insurance or double-checked a payment deadline, that was probably from me!

My background is in social work, and I’ve always believed in taking care of people. That heart for service is what I bring into my role at Harnal Travel every single day. Whether it’s building out your itinerary, checking for accuracy, or coordinating with the team, I’m here to make sure no detail is missed so your travel experience feels easy, intentional, and cared for.

My love for travel started over 16 years ago on a student ambassador trip to Australia and New Zealand. It opened my eyes to how powerful travel can be, how it stretches us, connects us, and creates memories that last a lifetime. And that’s exactly why your trip matters to me: I know how deeply personal and impactful it can be.

As a mom of three (two boys and our youngest, a girl), I get it, how precious that travel time is, how chaotic life can be, and how important it is to get the details right. My husband and I mostly travel with our kids across the U.S., but one of our most meaningful getaways was a couple’s trip to the Maldives, our first time traveling just the two of us after having kids. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, and it reminded me how necessary it is to carve out time for connection.

I also took a solo wellness trip to the Mexican Riviera that helped me reconnect with myself in a whole new way. It was peaceful, grounding, and a reminder that travel can also be about caring for ourselves, not just getting away.

So whether you’re planning a big celebration, a family getaway, or simply a chance to breathe, I’m here to make sure everything behind the scenes is taken care of. Your journey matters, and I’ll be with you (quietly!) every step of the way.

Let's plan your trip

Top destinations on my bucket list:

Safari, Scotland, and Iceland

Window or aisle seat?

I like to switch it up, depending on the length of the flight and whether I’m traveling solo or with someone.

What is your favorite destination you’ve ever been to?

Croatia, Maldives and Australia

What is your travel style?

Laid-back but overly prepared. I like to keep things relaxed, but I always have a solid plan, a backup plan, and snacks. You likely won’t catch me sprinting through the airport but if you do, things have gone off the rails.

What’s your favorite thing about travel?

Breaking out of daily routines and stepping into something new. I love learning about other cultures, seeing the world through a different lens, and creating space for genuine reconnection, with people, places, and even myself.

Something you must take with you every time you travel:

Something to read, gum, packing cube to keep myself organized.
